The best tuner for the 6.0 is the SCT. It doesn't have a defuel control that I know of. But he won't be disappointed with it, it is very safe with a mild tune. As far as intake, tell him the stock intake is probably the best intake for the truck with just a tuner.

Webb11 feb. 2024 · I wish I would have found this thread before I updated my SCT X4 last night in order to install a new tune from IDP. So now I’m getting the two EGR softcodes after the update….because SCT doesn’t have the option to delete the EGR anymore. I really don’t want to plug in my old EGR valve…such a pain. My 6.0 still had a egr cooler and was emissions legal when i got it. I got abought 13mpg in town and 16mpg driving at 70mph. When i got my sct x4, i went up to 16mpg city and 20mpg at 70mph.
