WebMar 22, 2012 · Shortly after I got the 37G2 update, I have starting a very faint whining noise in the DSG. It is always under 2000 rpm, and usually when you are in a high gear for your speed, and either coasting or lightly accelerating. I have confirmed it happening in 2nd 5th and 6th, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happen in 3rd and 4th as well.

WebApr 17, 2024 · Nalse. I have a 2016 gti dsg with 29000 miles. At around 1000 rpm the transmission makes faint but weird rattle thats unlike the failing flywheel rattle. I took it to vw and they told me its coming from the dsg oil pump but that its normal. Im really doubtful that it is and was wondering if anyone else has heard this noise from their dsg box.

I have tried to drive in manual mode and go from high to low rpm's and back on every gear without really hearing the whine.
